Set
in the year 2046, technology has greatly advance especially in the world of computers
and games. Harayuki Arita is your typical middle school boy that’s a bit on
chubby side but yet oddly cute character is been bullied for a long time and
likes to go to a place where he can play squash.
Because of his status, his life has become a miserable one and he can only cope through life by playing virtual games. But one day he met Kuroyuhime or Black Lotus, the most popular girl in his school. Though very popular she seems to be hiding something important. She has shown Harayuki a mysterious program called Brain Burst which include in it is a virtual reality game called Accel World, a program that enhances one’s mind capabilities, side effects.
